The link-rendering contract every navigational item shares, so none of them depends on a router.

Types only, no runtime. Every item that emits an anchor takes a renderLink prop typed against this, so the default stays a plain <a href> and a Next app passes (props) => <Link {...props} /> once. Installed on its own it does nothing — it arrives as a dependency of the items that need it. Widen RenderLinkProps here if your router needs another prop, and every item picks it up.
